Garmin s bronze, thru-hull mount transducer with fairing provides depth and temperature data. This transducer has an operating frequency of 50 or 200 kHz and mounts on a 0-25° deadrise angle.
The sensitivity of B258 is 25 times that of single-element 50 200 kHz sensors. This 1 kW transducer allows the 600 W fish finder to show the same performance as its more powerful sibling-especially at 50 kHz. How does it do it? B258 uses Airmar s unique ceramic element structure. The resulting narrow beam will clearly distinguish individual fish and demersal fish up to 670 m deep from their habitats.
